We Offer

Day 01: Cusco - Santa María: Biking 55km (Optional Rafting from April to November) After pick up at 7:30 a.m, we will head towards Ollantaytambo where we will make a stop to change cars to go from this point to the Abra Málaga (4,350 masl). This will be our initial point for our biking tour which will start after an explanation from our tour guide. A full equipment (Helmet, kneepads, among others) will be provided to you for this activity. We will start the descent in our bikes for about 3 hours (55km) to the town of Huamanmarca where we will enjoy our first lunch. After this, we will head towards the town of Santa Maria where we will spend our first night in a basic hotel. During the tour, we will experience the beauty of the mountains and will feel how the weather will rapidly change from dry and cold to humid and hot. Once in Santa Maria, we will have the chance to do Rafting (Optional) (III and IV levels (extra tour) in the Urubamba River that crosses this part of the jungle. Lunch, dinner and accommodation in a basic hotel.

Day 02: Santa María - Santa Teresa: Trekking (23 km) After a delicious breakfast, at 6:30 am approximately, we will be ready to start our first day of trekking towards Santa Teresa. The first two hours of our tour will be in ascent. Along the way, we will have several stops in order to learn more about the richness of the flora and fauna that this area can offer to us. We will visit a family house for about 30 minutes in order to receive supplies of water and tropical fruits of the area. More ahead, we will cross a part of the Inca Trail that used to connect Machu Picchu with the city of Vilcabamba. Here, our tour guide will give an explanation of the history of the Incas and how their communication system was at that time. At this point, we will have one of the most beautiful views of the Huancarccasa Canyon. After this, we will descent towards the town of Quellomayo for lunch. After a long break, we will continue our trek for 2 hours more until we reach the Cocalmayo Hot Springs where we can stretch our legs and relax for some time. After this, we will finally reach our final destination of this day, the town of Santa Teresa. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation in a basic hotel.

Day 03: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes: Trekking 16km (Zip Line Canopy- Optional) After our breakfast at 7:00 am, we will start the trekking towards Aguas Calientes. First, we will walk for 3 hours through the valley of Aobamba to the sector called Intihuatana where we will pass a small control point of the government. Then we will continue to Inka Rakay a place where we will have lunch. During this day, we will see several waterfalls and also have the opportunity to see the majestic mountains of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu as well as the Intihuatana or solar watch that can be seen from above the mountain. Return to Aguas Calientes Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation in a basic hotel.

Day 04: Machu Picchu This is the most important day of the tour. We will visit one of the 7 wonders of the world. Our last day starts very early so we can see the sunrise in the Inka citadel of Machu Picchu. We will start the ascent at 4:30 am. There will be a 1 hour 30 minute walk to Machu Picchu. During two hours, our tour guide will guide us by the main constructions and most important temples of this place. After this, you will have a free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own and maybe hike the Huayna Picchu Mountain (Offered with a previous reservation and extra cost. There are only 400 spaces per day). During the afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes in order to take the train to return to Ollantaytambo and Cusco.
